On the Garmouth Hotel's doorstep is Baxters - the world famous food group.  From humble grocer shop beginnings, the company's products are distributed worldwide.  Baxters has a wonderful visitor centre which includes shops and restaurant facilities. 

In nearby Elgin, another attraction worth visiting is Johnstons - the manufacturers of luxury cashmere clothing.  The company recently opened a new visitor centre which includes shops and restaurant facilities.

Moray is famous also for its castle and historic buildings including Elgin Cathedral, Spynie Palace, Brodie Castle, Ballanindalloch Castle and many more.  The area also features many museums and is nearby historic sites including Fort George and Culloden.
